Is it stress—or ADHD?

As autumn settles in, many people feel their stress levels rising. The pace of work quickens, family schedules get complicated, and the changing light can change our mood. But if you’ve noticed that overwhelm and disorganization have followed you for years—not just during busy seasons—it could point to something more.

For adults with ADHD, everyday life often feels harder than it “should.” Forgetting deadlines, losing track of time, or bouncing between tasks isn’t about laziness or lack of effort. It’s about the way the brain processes sensory input that can impact attention and organization.

These challenges may become especially visible during times of transition, like the shift into fall– or a new semester (or midterms 😱), or the last quarter of the business year.

If you’ve always felt like you’re working twice as hard just to keep up and burning out, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to keep guessing. An ADHD evaluation can help clarify what’s going on, reduce self-blame, and provide a framework for self-compassion and support as you take concrete steps to ease the burden.

👉 Schedule a brief consultation with me to talk about whether an ADHD evaluation could bring the clarity you’ve been seeking.

Here’s a sneak peak at what sets my evals apart from others:

🛋️ Flexible breaks

Need to move around? Refuel? Just not talk to a person for a minute? Totally normal. Breaks are built into the process and can be added whenever you need.

🫖 Sensory-friendly pacing

Whether you need silence, dimmed lighting, or a fidget in your hand, you’re welcome to set up your space in whatever way works for you. I also keep my instructions clear and unhurried, so you’re never left guessing what’s next.

💬 Check-ins along the way

We don’t just push through. I’ll check in with you periodically to see how you’re feeling and if anything needs adjusting.

🎧 Respect for your rhythms

Whether you’re a morning thinker or your brain lights up after lunch, I want to know what’s happening for you at different times during the testing day. This helps me better understand how your brain works. Your rhythms are part of your story, and I include them in my thinking about your experience to get the clearest, most compassionate picture of who you are.

🤝 No masking required

I invite you to show up just as you are. That means you don’t need to "perform" or just "push through" if you're tired, distracted, or need to stim. This is a space to be honest about how your brain works—not to hide it. Annnd I know how hard unmasking can be. So I will invite you after the testing day to message me to tell me more about your experience.

🌿 Care for after the testing day

It’s completely normal to feel tired, emotionally drained, or even a little exposed after a full day of exploring your inner world. That’s why I don’t just leave you hanging. I offer gentle, personalized recommendations for what to do after testing—whether that’s how to rest, reset, or connect with a trusted person to process anything that came up. Your wellbeing matters after the Zoom window closes too.

If you’ve been wondering whether an ADHD and/or Autism assessment might help you better understand yourself and get support, let’s talk.

This is a no-pressure chance to ask questions and explore whether this path feels right for you.

My Virtual Evaluations are available to adults in PsyPact-approved states — and I’d be honored to walk this part of your journey with you.
