Making a Long Day of Testing Feel a Little Easier 💻🌿

Let’s be real:

a full day of virtual testing for ADHD and Autism sounds like a lot.

And it is! But here’s the thing—it doesn’t have to feel quite so overwhelming.

When we work together, I intentionally design your testing day to be as comfortable, respectful, and affirming as possible. Because I know your brain deserves to be supported exactly as it is— and it actually helps me write a better report!

Here’s how I help make the process more doable:

🛋️ Flexible breaks

Need to move around? Refuel? Just not talk to a person for a minute? Totally normal. Breaks are built into the process and can be added whenever you need.

đź«– Sensory-friendly pacing

Whether you need silence, dimmed lighting, or a fidget in your hand, you’re welcome to set up your space in whatever way works for you. I also keep my instructions clear and unhurried, so you’re never left guessing what’s next.

đź’¬ Check-ins along the way

We don’t just push through. I’ll check in with you periodically to see how you’re feeling and if anything needs adjusting.

🎧 Respect for your rhythms

Whether you’re a morning thinker or your brain lights up after lunch, I want to know what’s happening for you at different times during the testing day. This helps me better understand how your brain works. Your rhythms are part of your story, and I include them in my thinking about your experience to get the clearest, most compassionate picture of who you are.

🤝 No masking required

I invite you to show up just as you are. That means you don’t need to "perform" or just "push through" if you're tired, distracted, or need to stim. This is a space to be honest about how your brain works—not to hide it. Annnd I know how hard unmasking can be. So I will invite you after the testing day to message me to tell me more about your experience.

🌿 Care for after the testing day

It’s completely normal to feel tired, emotionally drained, or even a little exposed after a full day of exploring your inner world. That’s why I don’t just leave you hanging. I offer gentle, personalized recommendations for what to do after testing—whether that’s how to rest, reset, or connect with a trusted person to process anything that came up. Your wellbeing matters after the Zoom window closes too.

Testing doesn’t have to be a dreaded day.

It can be a process of curiosity, care, and clarity.
